Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2, 2026
ZapApp helps you apply to jobs faster. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What We Collect
Account info — Your email address to create your account. Your password is managed by our authentication provider and we never have access to it.
Profile and resume data — The information you add to your profile (work history, education, skills) and any resumes you upload or create.
Local storage — Your data is also stored locally on your device for offline access. This stays on your machine and is cleared when you sign out.
Usage data — Basic analytics like which features you use and crash reports to fix bugs. We use this to improve the app.
How We Use It
- To provide the service (store your profile, generate tailored resumes, submit applications)
- To improve the app based on how people use it
- To send you important updates about your account
We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads.
When We Share It
When you apply to jobs — Your resume and application info is sent to the employer or their applicant tracking system. That's the whole point.
Service providers — We use third-party services for hosting, authentication, and AI-powered features like resume tailoring. They only access what's needed to provide their service and your data is not used to train AI models.
Legal reasons — If required by law.
Your Choices
You can export or delete your data anytime from your account settings. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days.
California Residents
You have the right to know what data we have, request deletion, and we don't sell your info. Email privacy@zapapp.co to make a request.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll post changes here and update the date at the top.

That's it. We're here to help you get hired, not harvest your data.
